This works. It actually measures 22 volts on the multimeter, so is a real powerhouse. Works on cloudy days, measuring nearly 20 volts. And in the shade, as well.
I’ve got it hooked up to keep a couple of old batteries topped off that I had previously just had sitting in the garage. I charged them up with a battery charger and hooked up the solar panel to keep them that way. Nice to have a couple of extra batteries ready to go for the cars.
This item has gone up $10 since I bought mine about 10 months ago, but I will definitely get a couple more (for lawn mower and generator batteries).
