Aside from furthering our goal of interplanetary domination, there are three ridiculously awesome reasons why we should care more about this big rotating ball called Earth:

Storms are now more violent, heat waves are now more frequent, and pretty much everything else that's happening in the planet today suggest that we are seriously screwed. To cite one striking example, citizens of a US dependency, the Marshall Islands, are worrying about where their descendants are going to live just a few decades from now.

Both scientific studies and plain observations show that, although their tiny island nation is not sinking, sea level is actually rising. Now, at this rate of global environmental decay, time will come when Sean Connery's epic movie about a world under water will be classified along with the documentaries.

Sustainable Living makes you a nice guy.

And people like nice guys. Climate change is something that concerns every living being: from the Koalas in Australia, to the crocodiles in Congress, up to those sharks in Wall Street. Everyone will sink, and last time I checked, only Aqua Man can breathe underwater, and his genetic classification is, up to now, still under debate.

If your next-door neighbor or that cute girl on the other side of the classroom sees that you're trying to be a responsible citizen, they will begin to see you in a more positive light. Forget about your fear of looking ridiculous - it's the same thing that happened to Noah, and look at what happened next. And beside, Noah didn't have satellite images that show that the storm is coming, while we actually do.

Green is the color of money.

Contrary to popular belief, going green is not synonymous to going for broke. Actually, it can save you tons of money so that you can now buy that epic Barbie doll you've hoped to have for the last 49 years. With the use of alternative and renewable sources of fuel like biomass (the nicer term for animal poop) and solar energy (the nicer term for a natural tanning salon), you will be less reliant on petroleum derivatives (the nicer term for that which burns a big hole in your pocket whenever you go the gas station).

Tina tries to be funny to persuade those who would normally shrug off very important matters. On a more serious note, she also tries to reduce her carbon footprint by engaging in more environmentally-friendly practices, like using materials made from natural coco fiber and repelling insect pests using diatomaceous earth.
