Clean Your Solar Lights

There are some of us who will forget about the lights that we put in around our yard. Each day we come home to the path lights that serve us to see where we walk and we look out on the backyard that is lit by the flood lights that we set up for security and safety. After putting them in they become such a large part of the home that we often forget one very crucial thing - they need to be cleaned!

Before you begin you need to turn the power off. You will be cleaning them during the day so there is not a need for them to be on and you don't want to damage the lights or fry yourself in the process. A ladder need to be used to get hold of any lights that are high up.

Utilize a screwdriver to remove the globe from round the light fixture. Also remove the light bulb. Throw it away if is doesn't work anymore. Put these safely to the side where you are able to clean them later on - but where it will not become dmaged.

Fill a bucket up with warm water and dish detergent. Utilize an old rag to wipe down the exterior of the light fixture. Make sure to rinse it when it is too nasty. Wet the rag once more and squeeze it out until no water is dropping from it. Now clean the inside of the fixture and around the socket. Make sure not to get any water in the socket. When you are finished utilize a towel to dry it off.

Take glass cleaner and use it to wipe off the globes and working solar light bulb. When you are done put back the bulb and globe. Utilize a different rag to apply polish. This will assist to bring back the shine and make it look like new again. Allow it to dry before turning it back on.
