The Magic School Bus series of science kits from The Young Scientists Club have won over 30 awards. The kits are tested before going on the market by the kids attending the Young Scientist Summer camps so they get a very thorough testing from their target audience. These kits build on the success of the Magic School bus books and DVD's allowing kids from 5 years old and up to actually engage in the science experiments so they learn more than just by sitting and watching a DVD or reading a book. Science for kids needs to be engaging and practical hands on experiments are the best way to accomplish this goal. Science kits always make a useful addition to a homeschool library but are not out of place in any home where there are kids to entertain especially on weekends and school holidays.

The Young Scientists Club was founded in 1999. Their mission to engage boys and girls around the world in 'An educational science adventure that lasts a lifetime.' They aim to do this by offering products designed by Harvard graduates, scientists, educators and parents to combine quality and learning with fun and fascination. They hope that children will find a spark of interest and want to discover more about science through experimentation. The Magic School Bus series is just one of the series offered by The Young Scientist Club and is a series of fun and exciting kits based on the book series by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degan. The kits are designed for children aged 5 to 12 years old and proper adult supervision is highly recommended. Each kit comes with all the supplies needed (except for a few common household items) and a detailed manual with guidance for parents/educators that has been designed just like the famous books.
