K Light Solar Lantern Review

Should I pay for the K Light Solar Lantern? That maybe the issue you are asking yourself right now as you seek the information superhighway as I did. I wanted a light that was solarized but not heavy & big. I wanted something for my kid sister to enjoy & so I could teach her about solar panel technology. I was going to buy one that was more expensive but since I planned on giving my solar powered lantern to my kid sister I didn't want to buy something really expensive in case she would break it. Plus it was bigger than what I wanted & when I uncovered the K light solar lantern I knew I found something valuable.

It is a green colored lantern that comes with it's own solar panel which rocks. I wanted to also have something that was bright & the 16 LEDs that came with this came in handy. I did not know how long the charging time was or how long it would stay powered up for but once I found out, it well reached beyond my expectations. It only takes about 2-3 hours to charge in straight sun light and lasts up to 8 hours of operation time. That is great because my little sister can keep the light on as she sometimes falls asleep instead of lying awake in the dark when she is snoozing into sleep.

Because the solar panel has to be connected by itself I thought it would be a problem because it was not installed onto the solar light. The way it is much better because when I camp and have a light, I usually swing it around and such, so the panel in my bag with a pillow case or socks around the panel will keep it safe from breaking or I will leave it at the camp site.

The LEDs are very powerful & I thought that leds were small and like boring. But was I ever wrong beacause they are very bright & every time I look at them it really hurts my eyes. The LEDs are super bright just like the lantern says! Also having the capability to have two modes is very smart because one set of lights on are bright enough, but two not at all hurt. This is great for when I lose things in my tent or when my sister drops things on the ground.

We both like that the k lantern light turns in to a spotlight & can be positioned with the metal prongs. This makes for planning trips and the next day's activities hassle free because I can easily set the k light down as well as point it in my direction and write, take notes and such. It also has this cool rotating system so you can turn it in a 360 degree fashion, I rarely use it but I figured I should let you know in case you need something like that.

My recommendation as far as I'm concerned is yes. It is affordable and works just like it says. There are many retailers that are selling this item as you probably already know, but I like it and I plan on letting others know when they ask me what solar powered lantern they should buy.
