Solar Lights, Are They Decorative?

Sure, solar lights don't use electricity but do they look good? At this time of year, we all want the outside of our home to look good even colorful. Solar lights come in such a variety of styles, colors, and materials that you should be able to find one that fits your need for light and decoration. There are several types that have the ability to change the color of the light. Some have as many as 6 colors while others may only have two or three.

You can even have solar lights with color to hang in or on a tree or any place in your yard, patio, deck, or other location. They can even be in the shape of birds, mushrooms, or just lights. Some of these will even sit on a table top or other flat surface to light an area indoors or while camping. Just make sure it receives enough daylight to recharge.

Even if you don't use color, solar lights are a great way to brighten up the night. They even make wonderful gifts for any occasion. Popular gift items are the garden gnomes, hummingbird, or dolphin chimes, butterfly or dragonfly shapes or animals. Some of the smaller solar lights designed to fit on a fence post are decorative enough to grace a table.

Solar lights are great all year long even if you just use the standard white. A solar lamppost can be very decorative and it gives a lot of light especially from the one with the triple lamps. If you already have a lamp post, you can get the fitter kit with one, two, or three lamps. These lampposts make great yard lights and they come with all of the mounting hardware needed. Be sure to place them in an area free from overhanging trees so they get a lot of sunlight and so they can be seen at night.

You may also want some solar lights for your shed or garage. The solar panel mounts on the outside and sends the power to the light inside the shed or garage. It is a great way to light a shed and yet you don't have to string wires, hire someone to do the work, or pay for electricity. Solar lights are just right for the do it yourself person. Yes, beauty and utility are a useful and cost saving combination.
