Outdoor wall fountains can create quite a conversation piece in a garden setting. An outdoor wall fountain does not mean it has to be mounted on a wall. You can put it on a backyard fence, an exterior garage wall, securely fastened to a tree, or on a deck post. Let your imagination come up with someplace unique for an outdoor wall fountain.

Wall fountains can be constructed out of many different materials. Fiberglass is probably the most popular because it is waterproof and very lightweight. Many of these wall fountains come with fascinating designs that come from the influences of Europe, Asia, Native America, the Celtic countries, and of course Mexico. Some consist of layered fiberglass and have a weathered stone finish or a sandstone finish. They are lightweight and everlasting and can withstand any weather condition. They look great on a deck, in the flower garden or vegetable garden, your patio area, and in a garden living room. The soothing sounds of an outdoor water fountain are enjoyable for years and years. 

What you may want to try is to pick out a place you would like to hang a wall fountain. Now picture it there during the daylight hours and also after the sun goes down. If you have found that tranquil space you will know it; and now you might want to place a spotlight upon it to highlight it even more. This area can now be your hide-away when you want to get away from all the stresses of the day. The sound of running water or trickling water falls sends out a serene feeling and washes away all the hassles of the day. You may want to invite your children out to enjoy that feeling and it may even calm them down. 

Installing an outdoor wall fountain gives you more room to utilize the ground area of your garden. You will now have the extra room for placing your outdoor garden furniture and grill. You may even have room for a fire pit to roast marshmallows with the children at night. Those who live in big cities usually have compact yards and using a wall fountain on a fence will give more grounds for furniture and entertaining.

Most outdoor wall fountains run off electricity so you will need to place it close to your electrical outlet. You can of course decide to purchase a solar wall fountain which is powered by the sun and becoming more popular these days. By utilizing a solar fountain you will not be using any electrical energy plus you will be saving on your utility bill.
