Who can deny the amazing powers of sun, which is of course the largest object of our solar system? Containing 98% of mass occupied by solar system, it creates the solar energy, which spreads light over almost all the objects that move around the sun. Basically, this energy is created by the reaction of several nuclear gases that lie deep in the core of sun. These nuclear reactions are majorly responsible for the generation of energy that creates light and heat. The sun has brightened the earth for billions of years, and is estimated to glow it for some other billion years as well; therefore, we are certainly obliged to this great object which has been serving us for such a long time.

Energy generated from the sun in the form of solar power is of great benefit to the mankind. Even human body requires the rays of sun to store vitamin D that is necessary for the proper functioning of different organs. The benefits of sunlight are uncountable, therefore it is simply not possible to elaborate each of these in few words; and even a full book might seem insufficient to describe all the supremacies of sun. Focusing on one of the major advantages of sun, which is becoming a topic of interest nowadays; is that of using solar energy for the generation of electricity and power to run different devices. We all are very well aware of the energy crisis which is faced all over the world because of the drop off of water levels in rivers and dams.

Majorly, the changing weather conditions have affected the entire globe with unpredictable circumstances. Somewhere, we see that people are dying because of the excessive rains and floods, and in other parts the lack of water has created the problem of electricity shortage and load shedding; especially in developing countries. In any case, the usage of solar energy can prove beneficial for mankind, by providing power to run the vehicles, planes, power houses, commercial sectors and home lights. In this regard, lots of research has already been conducted; while much is still in progress. The major invention which can create a big hype in future is that of solar kit, which is device that gets power through the sunlight, and generates electricity. Formerly, people used to charge the batteries for small torches through the sunlight, but now solar kits have enabled the usage of sunlight to produce electricity in thousands megawatts.

At this stage, the usage of solar power is very limited for the production of electrical energy; and we can't completely rely on a solar kit to get electricity for a full home. But, it can certainly be used as a source to light few bulbs and some low power consumption electrical devices. On the large scale, the establishment of solar power houses and plants is also in progress; with the basic aim to provide an alternative method for the generation of electricity, so that current energy crisis can be resolved.
