Surely by now, nearly every adult  is very much aware of global warming and how we need to lessen our dependence on fossil fuels. Domestic solar power is very beneficial as it works all year round. Sunlight is free to use and  once you have paid for the initial installation, your energy costs will be reduced substantially. A domestic solar power system requires very little maintenance and most of the modern systems come with quite long warranties, often up to five or even ten years. Before purchasing a solar system, be sure to have a roofing contractor inspect your roof to be certain that it is strong enough to hold the solar panels as they are quite heavy. You can take your solar power system with you if you should happen to move, but one of the advantages of this type of residential system is the fact that it will increase the value of your home if you leave it in place.
