If you are considering buying a portable hot tub have you thought whether it will increase the value of your home?
If you think that the average cost of a portable hot tub is between $600 to $1500 which is a lot of money to invest, so you may be wondering if this home improvement project will be a worthwhile investment if you leave it at the property when you move. Will you get your investment back? Or is your spa simply for pleasure and nothing more?
The answer is it's probably a bit of both. Unfortunately, there's no definite guideline for how much hot tubs and hot tub spas improve a home's value or if they do at all, but as a general rule you will never get back the full value but you will make your home more desirable to a buyer.

It is also interesting to note that portable hot tubs are less popular in warmer climates than they are in the cooler ones, because after all who wants to sit in a tub of hot water when it is 95 degrees outside, however having said that people in warmer climates that have hot tubs fill them with cool water, which makes them a great alternative to a full size pool.
Getting back to our original question and it's safe to say that chances are that although you will probably not get back the full value of a hot tub in monetary value, you will increase the chances of selling your home for a more realistic asking price than if you did not have one, so for this it is a worthwhile investment to make.
