For photographers who will keep the camera with them at all time you may want to consider one of the more compact types that can be carried in a shirt pocket. Why carry around something that is going to make you neck ache when it is not necessary; unless you are a professional photographer of course. These are just the essential things you have to look for in a camera when you purchase one. With all its technology, versatility and portability, the digital camera is the future of photography.
