Use Lawn Ornaments to Beautify Your Patio

Patios can be boring or they can be full of life and color.  If you want your patio full of life and color consider using an assortment of lawn ornaments to get the job done.  And I don't mean stuff it full of different colored garden statues, garden planters and decorative bird houses.  This can get a little overwhelming and may do more damage than good.  Use a variety of lawn ornaments, including wind spinners, centered around a certain theme you have in mind.

Garden statues and garden gnomes are a popular first start.  These lawn ornaments can range in size, colors and features.  If you want to make a statement use large lion statues at the entrance of your patio or some people like to have a large water fountain statue in the middle of or in the corner of their patio.  These two ideas are great but some people may have a smaller patio.  In this case, use smaller garden gnomes and garden statues to get the job done.  You see, lawn ornaments are not just to be used in the lawn.  They are "outdoor" pieces of decor to be used anywhere outside, even 4-season porch.

Lawn ornaments also come in the form of garden planters and plant stands.  Because garden planters and stands come in so many different sizes they are easy to use to decorate a patio.  Use plant stands to display smaller garden planters and other small lawn ornaments such as decorative bird houses.  Plant stands can also serve as a storage spot for useful things such as grilling accessories, kids toys and mosquito candles.  I know these items may not sound very decorative, but in reality if you are any average American, chances are you are in one of these situations and simply need a place to store such items.  Back to garden planters, these are fun lawn ornaments because you can put pretty much whichever plant or flower you want in them to add whatever colors you want.

Wind spinners make wonderful lawn ornaments as well.  These are hung up in the air so they are more easily seen by everyone.  You can display these on hook stands in the corners of your patio or surrounding the outside of your patio like tiki torches.  If you use tiki torches to light up your patio at night consider using solar light wind spinners to accompany that light.  Wind spinners make great lawn ornaments for a patio because people can enjoy them more while sitting on the patio.  Wind spinners are beautiful to watch as they twirl in the wind.  If you buy wind spinners made out of stainless steel they will not rust and in return last a long time.
